Overview
Te Marua Linings was engaged to complete the interior lining fit-out for a performing arts school upgrading its changing rooms, toilets, and shower facilities. The project required fast, precise installation to meet the school’s reopening timeline while ensuring durability for high-use spaces. We installed Standard GIB across general wall areas and Aqualine GIB throughout wet zones to provide long-term moisture resistance. With compact room layouts and a strict deadline, this project showcased our ability to deliver commercial-quality workmanship with speed and accuracy.Each house required tailored installation — Lot 41’s 4 m-high ceilings demanded scaffolding and precision sheet placement, while Lot 32 included a diaphragm ceiling for structural bracing. Joints were aligned to manage natural light, and all work was completed to GIB Book standards. Both homes were finished within a week, showcasing efficient delivery and seamless finishes across 200 m²-plus family homes.g Standard GIB throughout living areas and Aqualine GIB in wet zones for moisture resistance.
Changing Room
The changing rooms were the largest dry-area component of the project and required a finish that was both durable and visually clean. Due to the narrow geometry of each room, sheet layout, handling and movement had to be carefully planned to avoid unnecessary joins and achieve a crisp, high-traffic-ready surface.

Toilets & Shower Block
The wet-area fit-out required the highest level of moisture resistance and accuracy due to the presence of showers, plumbing fixtures, and constant condensation. Aqualine GIB was chosen for its water-resistant core, and installation had to accommodate numerous penetrations and fixture cut-outs while maintaining a seamless substrate for waterproofing and tiling.
